Mrs. Wanda Jeanette McLarty Wells, 67, died Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi. The funeral will be Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. David Ard officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 4:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Burial will follow the service in Oxford Memorial Cemetery.

Jeanette was born in Oxford, MS to the late John and Clara Mae McLarty. She worked as a clerk at The University of Mississippi for 35 years. After her time at the university, Jeanette worked at J.C. Penny’s and was currently employed at Desoto Collision Center. A beloved member of Yellow Leaf Baptist Church, she enjoyed attending services and visiting with her church family whenever possible. Jeanette was married to her beloved husband, Dewey, for 34 years.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Dewey Wells of Oxford, MS; her daughters, Chanda Lasha Bishop of Clarksdale, MS and Angela Marie Wells of Water Valley, MS; a brother, Johnny Wayne McLarty of Oxford, MS; and her grandchildren, Jason Paul Wells, Madalyn Justice Reese, Jon Cayce Jones, and Esteban Lagunes Bishop.
