A Celebration of life service for Peggy McDonald Isbell, 79, is set for 4:00 pm Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Greater Life Pentecostal Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 pm until service time at the church. Bro. Tommy Callahan will officiate the service.
Peggy was born October 9, 1942 and went to be with her Savior on June 19, 2022. She died at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was Pentecostal by faith and a loving and devoted mother to her step-children. Peggy had a master’s degree in education and taught school for 21 years. She decided to trade all this in to drive a tractor as she and husband Harold established Pine Lake Estates. She happily worked hand in hand with Harold doing whatever needed to be done. You could find her working in the entrance flowerbeds, driving heavy equipment, preparing the ground for housing development or roadwork, keeping Pine Lake Estates beautiful, while hauling dirt and building most of the lake herself. She cared for all of the families of Pine Lake Estates subdivision and for many years hosted an annual Easter egg hunt and party. Peggy will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Winston Sinclair and Beulah (Boo) McDonald; brother, J.W. McDonald; and sister, Cordie Strickland.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Harold Isbell; and step-children, Harold Dewayne Isbell and Paula Kimberly Isbell.
