Services to celebrate the life of Jeanette Nelson, 61, will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Tuesday morning from 11:00 am until service time at Wheeler Grove. Bro. Kara Blackard and Bro. Josh Westmoreland will officiate the service.

Jeanette passed away on January 21, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Hospital. She was born on August 31, 1961 to the late Jimmy David and Evon Smith Flatt. She was a 1981 graduate of Corinth High School and received her nursing degree from Northeast Mississippi Community College. She retired after a 28 year nursing career at Magnolia Hospital. She was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Elaine Wilbanks and Judy Rickman.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Wendell Nelson; sons, Danny Nelson (Katie) and Jacob Nelson (Faith); grandchildren, Ella, Shaden, Jimma-Grace and Nolee; brother, David Flatt (Brenda); sister, Joan Lambert (Eddie); niece, Ashley Hill (Daniel); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Grady Wilbanks, Jackie Cranford, Charles Kirk, Roger Settlemires, Lawrence Nelson, Darwin Coleson and Daniel Hill. Honorary pallbearer will be Shaden Nelson.
