Listen to this obituary

Dylan Thomas Ramage, “Dyl Dyl”, to those who loved him most, passed away on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023 at the age of eighteen.

His loving heart and BIG, contagious smile will be missed by all who knew him. He showcased it when doing all the things he loved, most of all, spending time with the people he loved. He enjoyed God’s creation while camping, fishing, riding horses, his motorcycle, four-wheelers, the golf cart and his jiu-jitsu classes. While indoors, his fun didn’t stop. Always accompanied by his figurines and stuffed animals, he created his own world in Minecraft and in his other video games. There will be a void in the halls of South Pontotoc High School that his playful spirit has filled for four years. He excelled academically and was enrolled in a college course as well as in his vocational classes where he enjoyed learning about computers and robotics. In the words of Dylan, he was "not afraid to do anything."

He is survived by his mother, Shelle Ramage(husband Terry Raby); father, Leslie “Les” Ramage(wife Teresa Ramage); sister, Breanna Bryant(husband Hunter Bryant); step-siblings, Aaron, Aidan, Ava, Brandy, Danyel, and Dusty; nephews, Asher and Wylder; and grandparents: Suzanne Lindsay, Lawrence Lindsay, Sr. (wife Trish Lindsay), Buddy and Jean Ramage, and Rick and Lynn Richards; aunt, Jerri Bennett(husband Glen Bennett); uncle, Jamie Ramage(wife Melinda “Mel” Ramage); uncle, Jered Russell(Liz Russell); uncle, Rusty Parks(wife Tomie Parks); and cousins: Lindsay Bland(husband Joshua Bland), Kaitlyn Bennett, Zac Bennett, Jacob “Jake” Ramage, Molly Ramage, Marshall Parks, Trace Lindsay and Preston Lindsay.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Tommy and India Sanders, J.W. and Myrtis Ramage, James and Vivian Lindsay, and George and Anne Hand.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at Hayseed Cowboy Church, 11171 Highway 6 W, Thaxton, Ms. on Saturday, March 18 at 2 pm with Bro. Joey Moody officiating. Doors will open at 1:30 pm. The family has requested casual clothing and no ties be worn. They want to invite everyone to stay after the service for cake and ice cream to celebrate Dylan. The immediate family will have a private graveside service and request privacy to do so. In lieu of flowers, please send monetary contributions to the “Dylan Ramage BIG Smile Scholarship” P.O.
