Wethia Howie
Service to Celebrate the life of Wethia Howie, 69, will be Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 2 pm at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Scott Webber will officiate the service.
Ms. Howie passed away on May 22, 2023 at Tishomingo Manor. She was born to the late Curtis and Irene McAnally on January 10,1954. She attended Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Iuka, MS. Wethia was a 1971 graduate of Burnsville High School. She enjoyed going out to eat with her friends, her dog Chip, and most of all taking care of her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy (Buddy) Howie; brothers, Jackie McAnally, Aaron McAnally, and Waylon McAnally; and sisters, Ola Belle Frazier, Barbara Gourley, Tressia McAnally, Virginia McAnally.
Survivors include her son, Ricky Howie; daughter, Shelly Hopkins (Darrell); grandchildren, Chase Hopkins and Cooper Hopkins; special friends, Jebb Johnston, Jay Johnson, and Peggy Mills; and 4 grandcats.
