Eddie L. Scott
Baldwyn – Eddie L Scott, 76, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the NMMC Hospice Unit. Eddie’s faith and family came first in his life and he was a faithful member of East Mount Zion Baptist Church. He was a Southern gentleman, and was a very giving and loving person. Eddie and Joe had R & S Auto salvage for thirty years. He loved his grandchildren and followed them through all of their fun and athletic adventures. Eddie was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Funeral services will be held at East Mount Zion Baptist Church on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00 a. m. with Bro. Acy Barber and Bro. Dwight Scott officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Zion Cemetery. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis Roberts Scott of Baldwyn; daughters, Belinda Reeves (Curtis) of Baldwyn and Bridgett Farrar (Doug) of Baldwyn; sister, Mitzi Hachey of Cordova, TN; brother, Roy Hue Scott (Gene) of Baldwyn; (4) grandchildren, Layken Brand (Zachary), Gracie Horton (Michael Jay), Braden Reynolds (Megan), Terra Belle Reynolds; great-grandchild, Carsyn Reeves; host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Blondy and Blanche Barrett Scott; sisters, Janice Smithson and Johnnie Howell; brothers, Cliff Scott and Billy Joe Scott.
Pallbearers will be Joe Roberts, Jimmy Michael, Mike Howell, Ralph Roberts, Terry Roberts, Steve Hendrix and Buck Edge.
Honorary pallbearers will be Braden Reynolds, Michael Jay Horton, Zachary Brand, Michael Huling, Tim Hall, Brad Hall Tracy McMillen. Michael Roberts, Derrick Roberts, Jamie Roberts, Jody Roberts, Ken Scott and Mike Scott.
Visitation will be at the East Mount Zion Baptist Church on Friday evening from 4:00 – 8:00 p. m.
