Anthony “Punkin” Ragain

On Tuesday, August 15, 2023, God gave Anthony “Punkin” Ragain his
wings for eternal rest. Anthony was born September 10, 1975, to Margie
“Kay” Dalrymple and the late Tony Dalrymple.
He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Zion Church
where he became a member of the Usher Board and a member of the Jr.
Choir. His favorite scripture was Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be
with you wherever you go."
Anthony was a member of Boys Scouts. He graduated from Baldwyn High
School where he played in the band and was the recipient of the John
Philip Sousa Award. He also attended Northeast Community College and
played in the band there. He was one of the coaches of the Baldwyn
Badgers little league football team. He worked as an advocate for Family
Factor for many years and mentored in the community.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
His memories will be cherished by his mother Margie “Kay” Dalrymple;
brother, Rodney Darlymple (Jennifer) of Boonville, MS; godchildren,
Cameron Stubbs and Jadelynn Young; loving nephew, D.J. Birks; loving
niece, Averi Dalrymple; special god sister, Tasha Williams; and a host of
aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
