Mr. Frank Edward “Buddy” Gill, 71, died Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Brandon Nursing & Rehab in Brandon, MS. The funeral will be Friday, September 22, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Hughes officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:30 P.M. Burial will follow the service in Oxford Memorial Cemetery.

Buddy was born on September 20, 1951, to the late Margie Hayles and Frank Gill. He came to his faith in Christ at a young age and was a member of First Baptist Church of Oxford. While still in high school, he began working at Kroger as a checker. Finding great fulfillment in his work there, he built a life-long career working in nearly every department, before becoming a file clerk. After 45 years of service to the company, Buddy retired, taking with him many years of memories and cherished friendships. Buddy was known for his quiet and gentle spirit, offering kindness to each person he encountered. In his younger years, he enjoyed motorcycles, water-skiing, days spent boating at the lake, and spending time with friends and family. He always made time to travel with his family and enjoy quality time together. Trips to the mountains were his favorite, making many wonderful memories that meant so much to him. Buddy was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 49 years, Brenda, and was so proud of his daughter and grandchildren. The happiness of his family was always at the forefront of his mind and the motivation for all he did in life. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Brenda Johnson Gill of Oxford, MS; his daughter, Whitney Gill Denham and her husband, Ragan of Brandon, MS; his sister, Alice Gill Miller of Oxford, MS; and his grandchildren, Peyton Denham, Brady Denham, and Savannah Denham, all of Brandon, MS.
