Hunter Channing Hamilton

October 9, 1992 ~ October 3, 2023

Hunter Channing Hamilton was born on October 9,1992 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Union County in New Albany, MS. He was 30 years old. He leaves behind his mother Heather Stoddard and step father Richard Stoddard, as well as his father, James Hamilton, along with five sisters, Ashton Jade Hamilton, Payton Stoddard and Abigale Stoddard, Katlin Owen and Madison Hamilton as well as one brother, Hayden Hamilton. He also leaves his grandmother and grandfather Susan and Ray Shackelford, his grandfather Donnie Grubbs and his grandmother Connie Hamilton. He had one nephew, Karson. A small army of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Hunter was preceded in death by his grandfather Rickey Hamilton, whom we are sure was waiting for Hunter with open arms. Hunter lived in Georgia near his mother and sisters for the past decade, but part of his heart always remained with his Mississippi home. Since he was a small boy, he loved visiting his paternal grandparents in Alpine MS and was Hamps right hand man during the summer months. He finished his senior year of high school at Horn Lake High, while living with his maternal grandparents SuSu and Shackie.

Hunter was not just a wonderful grandson, he was an exceptional brother and a loving son. His work ethic was unmatched and his sense of humor could brighten the darkest of days. Hunter struggled with himself more than anything and left this world too soon for our hearts. Funeral Services will be at 1 pm on Friday October 13, 2023 at Waters Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Zion Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until service time Friday October 13, 2023 at Waters Funeral Home.
