Stephen Charles William Holt entered into eternal rest November 10, 2023 at Oxford Veterans home after an extended illness. Steve was born in Milton, England on April 15, 1953. Being part of a military family, Steve moved to the United States where he served in the Army and National Guard for over 28 years. Steve proudly served his country in Desert Storm and retired from the Army in 2003. Steve worked in maintenance at North Mississippi Medical Center for 23 years.
Steve enjoyed football, racquetball, running, bicycling, canoeing, and hiking. He mostly enjoyed helping his neighbors, which included anyone he met, and being of deep faith, serving the Lord.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edwin and Violet Ann Holt.
Steve leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Sandra Kay of over 45 years of Saltillo and 2 sons, Timothy Lee (April) of Booneville, John Michael Owens of Las Vegas, NV. Steve was the oldest of 6 children and leaves his siblings, Linda Taylor (John), Belle Haven, VA, Roy (Tammy), Christiansburg, VA, Michael (Sandy), Magnolia DE, Terrence (Louise), Milford, DE, Donna (Eddie), Onley, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services with military honors will be on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Waters Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Terry Garrett officiating. Interment to follow in the Veterans Cemetery in Corinth, MS.
Family will receive visitation Tuesday evening, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Waters Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Davis, Richard Murphy and Alec Robinson.
