Johnny Baxter
Baldwyn- Johnny Baxter 73, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Meadows in Fulton. He was born to John Jr. and Vesta Baxter, a retired truck driver for ACCO, a member of Kirkville Baptist Church, he enjoyed fishing, giving directions when a family member got lost on a trip and was a daily member of the round table at Agnews restaurant.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday April 28, 2024 at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Toby Mears and Bro. Ray Guin officiating. Burial will be in the Kirkville cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter Cindy Pierce of Fulton, step-daughter Kristen Wright (Jared) of Tupelo, grandchildren Molly Tiffany Pettigo (Jason) of Mantachie, Austin Davis (Cassidy) of Baldwyn, Cassidy Cullum of Saltillo, Autumn Kelly of Fulton, step-grandchildren Hunter, Payton and Madison Wright of Tupelo, great grandchildren Kylie, Adalie, Lana, John Austin Pettigo, sisters Janet Hinds (James) of Mantachie, Gayle Pharr of Baldwyn with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Jr. and Vesta Taylor Baxter, sister Carolyn Bishop and brother Danny Baxter.
Pall Bearers will be Austin Davis, Jason Pettigo, Jared Wright , John Taylor McFerrin, Aaron Baxter and John Boy McFerrin. Honorary pall bearers are Steve Hendrix, Jimmy Michaels, Buckey Parker, Rodney Moore and the member of the round table at Agnews restaurant.
Visitation will be 12 noon until service time Sunday April 28, 2024 at Waters Funeral Home.
