A Time To Be Born…. Bertha was born March 31, 1957 to
the late Howard and Mable Hankins.
A Time To Accept Christ…. She confessed a hope in
Christ at an early age and was united with Mt. Olive
Missionary Baptist Church.
A Time To Rest…. 2 Timothy 4:6-8, ‘As for me, I am
already being poured out as a libation, and the time of my
departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have
finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on
there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that
day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed
for his appearing.’
A Time For Memories…. Bertha L. Hankins was
preceded in death by her beloved father Howard
Hankins, mother Mable Hankins, sister Lillie Pearl
Brinston and three brothers: Roosevelt Hankins, Lovelle
Hankins and DW Hankins.
Bertha Hankins leaves to cherish her loving memories six
sisters: Annie Thelma Morris of Clarksdale, MS, Louise
Hankins, Billie Jean Hankins, Shirley Ann Bunce all of
Douglasville, GA, Mable Hankins Beverley of Jackson,
MS, JoeAnn Hankins of Tupelo, MS; one brother Howard
Hankins, Jr. of Douglasville, GA.
She leaves to cherish loving and special nieces, nephews
and special friends.
Those who knew Bertha knew that she was eager to enter
into the presence of God. She looked forward to seeing
Jesus Christ and the family went on before her, especially
her mother and fathe
