OXFORD – Hazel Brummett McNeely, 91, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in Oxford, MS. She worked in retail sales at Blaylock's Drug Store, as a secretary at McNeely Southland Service Station, and also as a loving housewife. She was a charter member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, where she was a lifetime member, and was a member of The Purple Heart.  She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she worked in the nursery, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and teaching in GA's.

She is survived by her son, Walter McNeely of Oxford; her daughter, Betty M. Bennett Clanton of Oxford; her granddaughters, Beth Jenkins (Scott) of Oxford and Tracy B. Coleman (Chad) of Oxford; great-grandchildren, Grant Jenkins, Hunter Coleman, and Tyler Coleman; and step grandchildren, Mike Bennett, Sandra B. Jackson, and Brian Bennett.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Smith McNeely; parents, Wiley and Josie Allen Brummett; brothers, Audley Brummett, WL Brummett, and Baby Boy McNeely(1958); sister, Lucille Gaines.; and step grandchildren, Ronnie Bennett and Debra Bennett.

Services will be Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 11AM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Steve Quarles officiating.  Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Chad Coleman, Grant Jenkins, Hunter Coleman, Tyler Coleman, Jimbo McNeely, and Mack Thweatt.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 28, 10AM until service time.
