Reed was born on June 25, 1981 in Jackson, Mississippi. While in high school, Reed was a very gifted basketball player, earning numerous awards and honors during his career. In 1999, after graduating from St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Ridgeland, Mississippi, Reed attended the University of Mississippi and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. While in college, Reed was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was an avid sports fan and loved playing and watching all sports. Reed especially loved competing in triathlons and completed several half-Ironman competitions. His greatest sporting achievement was crossing the finish line of the 2011 Ironman Triathlon in Louisville, KY. He also had a memory for sports trivia that could rival anyone at ESPN.
Reed was employed at Delta Door and Hardware, a division of Cook & Boardman, LLC, in Memphis, Tennessee. With 18 years of industry experience, Reed excelled as a Sales Manager for the company. He was loved by both his coworkers and his customers and, amazingly, never tired of the daily Oxford to Memphis commute.
Reed is survived by his wife, Lynlee Stafford Stacy and their two children, Stafford Daulton Stacy and Collins Katherine Stacy all of Oxford. He is also survived by his in-laws, Steve & Tempe Stafford of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his sister-in-law Sydnee Stafford McCoy (Ricky) of Germantown, TN; his parents, Charles and Suzette Stacy of Ridgeland, MS; his sister, Katie Stacy McDaniel (William), of Meridian, MS, his brother, Matt Stacy (Helen) of Madison, MS; maternal grandmother, Martha Hamilton of Jackson, MS; paternal grandmother, Jean Stacy of Jackson, MS and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
