Hickory Flat-Franklin D. Elliott Sr, 77, departed this life on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born November 7, 1944, to James Arton Elliott and Dora Manley Elliott. Mr. Elliott was a retired commercial roofer, who worked for TAM Construction for many years. He enjoyed drag racing, motorcycles, dirt bikes, four-wheelers, dune buggies, and western movies. He was the kind of man if you ever met, you would never forget. He had a unique bond with his dog “Baby Girl” as she looks for him to return home continually. He loved is family beyond measure, and they will greatly miss him.
Services will be Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 2:00pm at United Funeral Service with Bro. Eugene Stockstill officiating. A visitation will be from 12 noon till the start of the service at 2:00pm, both events will take place at United Funeral Service. United is honored to be entrusted with these arrangements.
Mr. Elliott is survived by one daughter, Donna Poppelrieter, one son, Frankie Elliott Jr., two sisters; Marie Brown and Jackie Busbee, eight grandchildren; Terry Elliott, Kayla Jumper (Beau), Allison Elliott, Owen Elliott (Morgan), Austin Speck (Andi), Tyler Speck (Caley), Cecila Elliott, and Chance Elliott, and thirteen great-grandchildren with one on-the-way.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Dora Elliott, his wife, Elizabeth Elliott, five sisters; Avalene Richardson, Pauline Busby, Faye Robinson, Nell Robinson, and Barbara Brown, and two brothers, William Elliott and Wilford Elliott.
Pallbearers are Frankie Elliott, Dwayne Canupp, Terry Elliott, Austin Speck, Tyler Speck, and Owen Elliott.
