Kay Black

A Celebration of Life Service for Ruby Kay Black, 79, will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Wednesday 10:00 to service time at the funeral home.

Kay died October 8, 2022 in Counce, TN. She was born October 5, 1943 in Alcorn Co. MS to the late Lee and Ruby Crum. She was of the Baptist faith. Kay was a homemaker that enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Lloyd Black; daughter, Linda Kay Russell; parent, Lee Crum and Ruby Buress; step-mother, Luella Crum; sister, Viola Strickland (Bob); son-in-law, Wayne Null; father and mother-in-law, Alvie and Roxie Black; and special friend, Bill Branum.

She is survived by her daughter, Becky Null (Gary Epps); grandchildren, Junior Hamlin, Kristen Martindale, Chelcy Martindale and Lee Hamlin; great grandchildren, Baylor Brooks, Wyatt Hamlin, Chloe Hamlin, Samantha Bridges (Jacob) and Tiffany Hamlin; great great grandchildren, Gunner Bridges and McKenzie Bridges; sisters, Annie Crum and Kathy Childs; brothers, Tommy Crum (Anne) and Jimmy Crum (Becky); son-in-law, James Russell; and a host of other family and friends.
