James Edward Barron

Zion Rest Community – James Edward Barron, 86, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the Magnolia Regional Hospital. He was born to the only child, True and Ester Barron on April 24, 1938.

He enjoyed telling stories of the good ole days & how he took pride in running the road grader for the 4th district. He had a talent for wood working and loved spending time outdoors. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grands and great-grands. James enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains. His favorite time of the day was anytime a friend stopped by to visit him at the farm. He had a never-ending love for row crop farming and nothing filled his heart as much as harvest season except the one whom he loved the most, Mrs. Bettye, his bride of 60 years. He was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 4:30 p. m. with Bro. Jeremy Johnson, Bro. Ray Bennett and Bro. Earl Barron officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until service time. Burial will be in Zion Rest Cemetery.
